Thanks & In Case You Missed It!

I wanted to make sure you saw my request yesterday afternoon for Rapid Response tweeting!  (Below)

We need you to respond to Representative Hensarling (TX) grilling CFPB director Cordray when he said “I want to know specifically what states you think don’t have adequate regulation for payday lenders that you will pre-empt!”

There’s still time today to make sure Representative Hensarling hears from us that we need stronger controls over payday lenders.

Make sure to add your state and tweet:
@FinancialCmte & @RepHensarling XX doesn’t have adequate payday regulation. @CFPB please #StopTheDebtTrap

Thank you to those 25 tweeters from 15 states that already participated yesterday!  We appreciate you making your voice heard. See your tweets here.

Tomorrow we’ll be sending the compilation of tweets to the CFPB and other interested policy makers, so if you haven’t yet, log in and send your tweet today!

Thanks,
Gynnie

A few minutes ago Director Cordray was questioned by House Financial Services Committee Chair, Rep. Hensarling, about states that have inadequate payday lending regulations.

Does your state have inadeqaute PayDay Lending Regulations? If so help us educate Rep. Hensarling and the House Financial Service Committee.

Type your state in the sample tweet below (XX) and tweet this message now:
